18th century Italian gilded and hand-painted processional finial with baroque pearls and adventurine and mounted on honey calcite. The piece was originally part of a processional pole from a historical church in Italy. The eucharist is painted and carved on one side and the other side has a bundle of wheat. Together the artifact and the natural elements create a historical yet contemporary, sculptural work of art.
