18th century Italian fragment with coordinating gold-plated chalcedony rosettes and gold-plated crystal pieces, free-forming glass, and metallic pyrite on a hand-painted gallery 1-inch canvas. The canvas is distressed with natural organic pigments.

The 18th century fragment originally came from a church in Tuscany. The Italian artifact, various minerals, and free-forming glass are mounted onto the distressed powdered canvas and put together to create a 3D sculptural wall piece. The piece appears to have evolved together over time - Interpreting the past to create historical yet contemporary work entirely original, evolving in its own right.
